Nagendran was first introduced to Yoga when he was about ten years old, as a part of a evening class for school students, in a coastal village in Tamil Nadu. This spark slowly started to grow into a steady fire, as a penchant to learn yoga, while he was also learning and teaching a local Martial Arts form using long sticks called, Silambam.
He got his first Diploma in Yoga, from Annamalai University. He started his career as a Yoga Teacher in a Matriculation school. He soon moved to Bangalore to get his Teacher Training Certificate. He studied at the SVYASA YOGA UNIVERSITY in Jigani, Bangalore. He worked as a Yoga Instructor in several Yoga Institutions, while he worked towards to Yoga Master level International Teacher Training certification and finally got the esteemed GRAND MASTER of YOGA certification in 2016, from Yoga Alliance International, New Delhi, India. He is also a Certified Teacher of Aerial Yoga, from AntiGravity Fitness, USA.
As a Course Director for Tapasya, which he helped to found, Sir is responsible for the entire curriculum for all the classes, that he has so painstakingly designed, with utmost care and personal attention. He continues to do several courses related to Yoga, Healing and Therapy, including Ashtanga Yoga at Indea, Mysore under Yogacharya Shri Bharat Shetty. He has written a series on Yoga Asanas and their benefits for a weekly magazine.
He is now completely dedicated to teaching yoga, from beginners to advanced Yoga Professionals and teachers, and as a person he is as flexible as his body.
